About

I’m a Finnish software engineer, Cellist and audio generalist. My background is a mix of classical music, professional systems engineering and software development.

Musical background

I started cello playing in the age of 4 and studied in Porvoo and West Helsinki musical institutes until 2008 under tuition of Marion Göbel and Roi Ruottinen.

In 2008 I was accepted to Sibelius Junior Academy in where I studied until my actual Bachelor studies in classical cello started in 2014. During 2014 - 2018 I studied cello at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and had exchange studies in the Manhattan School of Music, performed with the Helsinki and Tampere Philharmonics, and competed at national level in Finland and internationally as well in Carlos Prieto international Cello competition in Mexico 2016 and Osaka international chamber music competition Festa series 2017 with Tarantino Cello Quartet.

I studied classical cello under the tuition of professors Hannu Kiiski (Sibelius-Academy), Tuomas Ylinen (Sibelius-Academy), Martti Rousi (Sibelius-Academy) and David Geber (Manhattan school of Music).

In 2018 I competed as a finalist in Finnish national turku cello competition and was awarded the 5th prize.

After shifting my career to tech, I’ve started exploring digital music and audio production, hence this website.

Tech background

Alongside music I’ve built a tech career in Software development and Cloud engineering. While I have a deep background in music, I pivoted to IT to build a more stable and structured career path. IT allows me to apply the same analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and systemic thinking I developed through music, while offering greater continuous learning and professional growth. Shifting my primary career to tech has allowed me to keep music as a pure creative passion rather than a financial necessity. Currently I work as a Cloud Engineer.
